An Interactive Speech Bite Archive Platform.
The 'TEDx AKL Epigram Disc' project emerges as a tribute to the diverse voices that have profoundly influenced the Auckland community through TEDx events over the past decade. A collaborative endeavour involving three research assistants turned designers, the project dives into the intricate relationships we hold with digital platforms, the nuances of self-observation, and the complexities of identity embedded in our daily lives. This initiative serves as a celebration of TEDx Auckland's substantial contributions to the region.
Driven by a keen interest in exploring the interplay between our digital engagements, self-perception, and the shaping of identity in our everyday practices, the project strives to animate the vibrant, living embodiment of the Creative Technology community. Grounded in a narrative that acknowledges the diverse perspectives encapsulated in each TEDx Auckland event, the goal is to amplify emotions and experiences through a series of stories from individuals, considering them as living, feeling entities.
The project unfolds as a potential platform for multi-sensory storytelling, presenting a physical and interactive installation that traces the spoken journey of past and present attendees and commentators throughout the event lineups since 2009. The interface, carefully constructed for thematic exploration, prompts profound reflections on identity and shared perspectives. This collaborative design venture involves multiple contributors, each imprinting a distinctive mark on the interface's navigation and overall user experience.
The cosmic discs, each representing a unique theme, encapsulate spoken epigrams from previous TEDx AKL speakers. The viewer is encouraged to interact with the interface, selecting themes of interest and exploring how these epigrams articulate diverse ideas and concepts. The process engages viewers in a thoughtful exploration of identity and shared perspectives. As viewers select their preferred epigrams, a new cosmic disc is dynamically generated, fostering a sense of communal sharing and discovery. The intention is to collectively unveil the richness of diverse and innovative ideas within our community, celebrating the intellectual tapestry we collectively weave.

Tracing Spaces II
Reflection, Belonging, and Self-Observation.
The 'Tracing Spaces II' exhibition unfolds as a rich and diverse exploration by three versatile artists, delving into the intricacies of creative expression through various mediums. This collective body of work serves as a conceptual playground where the artists intricately weave narratives around the themes of II — fundamental aspects within the realm of design. The exhibition invites viewers on a contemplative journey, peering into the artists' mindscape and the dynamic interplay that unfolds during the creative process. Comprising a series of paintings and digital artworks, 'Tracing Spaces II' unfolds distinct narratives—a poignant exploration of cultural and sexual identities, a reflective dialogue on the artist's relationship with the environment, and an investigation into the burgeoning concept of meta-modernism within artistic practice and identity.
